Losing the meaning of youth sports
It looks like even women's basketball is going to suffer the same fate as the men's game. Kids who love the game, but don't have the financial means, or pure raw talent, are getting left out time and time again. The High School game has become one more of recruiting, almost the same as colleges and in some cases worse. Gone are the days where a kid could play the game for the love of it. Even today kids who are at all talented are just about required to play year round from 5th grade on if they have any hope of playing in high school. There will always be the kids that are really good, and yes they get better by playing other kids who are really good, but what is sad is how many kids who love playing, the 'Rudys' of the game who are left behind by what has become a crazy non-stop quest for exposure and the coveted D1 scholarship.
Draft Picks
I think that the number one team who wins the championship game should get to chose who they want first because they won the championship!...
Also,I can see why they start at the bottom at the list and go from worst to best because they want to make the teams fair!...
I can't believe the sparks came in the last place last year!...
Go Candace Parker!...
Draft Picks
although I understand the system used to get the order of the picks, what's to prevent a team from tanking it to get the first pick? I think women's ball is somewhat different from men's in that the #1 pick in men's doesn't always translate into winning. CP is a wonderful talent and the sparks are a much better team now.

I truly think kids should
I truly think kids should play wherever the want. I attended a middle school game and one of the teachers thought I was RECRUITING and commented to parents I was in her area and that was wrong. Several kids from Houston played on WCE before they disbanded, even my daughter and a few others have left H Town to play with DFW Elite. Whatever makes them happy.
