Turnbow YDF 2007 - by Chris Hansen

Strengths

  • Length
  • Athleticism
  • Defensive Presence

Needs Improvement

  • Shooting
  • Offensive Aggression
  • Ballhandling

Turnbow is capable of playing anywhere on the court defensively. She’s a very tough minded kid on that side of the ball and outworks most opponents for position and plays the passing lanes very well. She’s got good length for her height which is deceiving to most as she’s a better scorer inside than most people give her credit for. She made a high percentage of her shots finishing with one of the highest field goal percentages of anyone in the event. She is a finisher and she didn’t take too many shots that were out of her range. The key for Turnbow is to expand her shooting range because she is so good attacking the baseline off the dribble and making shots around the basket. She can defend every position so the more she adds to her offense in terms of range and ball handling the harder it will be to take her off the court. She played well but didn’t have the swagger I’m used to seeing from her that she has playing for her club team. She’s another kid that gives you the energy and team play that can make a good team great by putting the team first. She’s capable of playing anywhere and being a solid contributor at the college level.
