Angel Goodrich, who has near legendary status in parts of Oklahoma, is taking her giant-killing ways to Kansas.

Angel Goodrich
A 5-foot-3 point guard out of Thalaquah, Okla., Goodrich made the commitment to Jayhawk coach Bonnie Henrickson on Monday, after an official visit to Kansas over the weekend.
Goodrich also had been considering Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Tulsa.
Ranked by HoopGurlz.com as the No. 48 overall prospect in the 2008 class, Goodrich gained statewide notoriety for scoring 26 points to lead tiny Sequoyah (376 enrollment; Class 3A) to victory in the championship of the Oklahoma’s Best Girls Basketball Tournament over Class 6A Sapulpa and Tennessee-bound center Alyssia Brewer. She also averaged 17.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, 6.9 steals, 7.5 assists and 1.4 blocked shots in leading the Lady Indians to a 27-0 record and their third straight Class 3A state championship in 2006-07.
Goodrich overcomes her smallish stature with speed and quick, economical moves off the dribble. The No. 9 ranked point guard in her class, she shows very good command of the court, can make plays on penetration with the pass or shot and has range out to the three-point line.
Kansas is coming off an 11-20 season, Henrickson's third in command of the Jayhawks. The previous season Henrickson led Kansas to a berth in the Women's NIT.
