Recently I was elected as the 11th grade class treasurer because I am excellent at math. While playing basketball and volleyball, I am holding on to a 3.8 grade point average and honor classes as well. This is my 3rd year taking honor courses. I was inducted into Junior Beta Club when I was in the 8th grade and also voted as the Junior Beta Club President. My teacher entered me into the Math competition and I came 3rd in the nation. When I was a freshman, I was inducted into the Future Business Leaders of America organization (FBLA). Last year, I was inducted into the Senior Beta Club and National Honor Society and I am formally the Senior Beta Club Vice President and the National Honor Society Treasurer.

Having these roles may just be a name for most people. However for me, it is an opportunity for me to show off my leadership skills. Most people think athletes are just good for playing sports. Well, I surely do not fall in this category. Each role requires s few of my strengths and talents. As the Treasurer, I am able to show my capability and responsibility for handling money in the proper form. Having the role as the Vice President, gives me the opportunity to show my leadership skills and to show others that I may be a big kid but I can be serious when the time is right.
